BDNF This item recognises human BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), a potent neurotrophin and member of the NGF-beta family, secreted from dense core vesicles, which promotes the growth, differentiation and survival of neurons within, or directly connected to, the central nervous system (CNS). _x000D__x000D_BDNF signals through binding to the high affinity receptor trkB, and also binds to the low affinity neurotrophin receptor LNGFR. Studies have shown the involvement of BDNF in the modulation of short-term synaptic function and in the formation of long-term memory, and reduced levels of BDNF are seen in patients with Alzheimer's and Huntington disease.

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.

Properties
