Background Information
Murine eotaxin shares many of the biological and physical characteristics of human eotaxin. The chemokine exhibits a high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils and belongs to the C-C family of chemokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1 α. Murine eotaxin is an 8.4 kDa protein containing 74 amino acid residues.
