• Background of the target antigen
  B-cell receptor-associated protein 31 (BAP31) is a 28 kDa integral endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane protein expressed ubiquitously (1,2). BAP31 is comprised of three membrane spanning segments and a 13 kDa cytosolic tail containing an extended coiled-coil region (3). BAP31 has been shown to promote the vesicular transport of transmembrane proteins, such as teteraspanins and CD11b/CD18 (4,5). BAP31 also interacts with Sec61 translocons and promotes retrotranslocation of CFTRΔF508 (6). BAP31 also regulates human embryonic stem cell adhesion, stemness, and survival via control of epithelial cell adhesion molecule (7)
