• Description:

  Proteinase K solution (5 x 1ml) 20 mg/ml; (in 50mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 1 mM CaCl2, 50 % glycerol) For reliable inactivation of endogenous nucleases (DNases, RNases) during DNA or RNA preparation. Proteinase K from Bio&SELL is both very active (activity 30 U/mg) and stable and of course free of RNAses, DNAses and exonucleases.Its activity can be inactivated by PMSF.The recommended concentration of proteinase K to be used is 50 - 100 μg/ml for most applications.Can be used at pH 4.3 - 12; optimal at pH 8.
