Oxazole Red

• Description:

  Oxazole Red is a far-red fluorescent nucleic acid stain that can be used to color dead or fixed cells. It is also cell-impermeant. When bound to nucleic acids, the dye exhibits high excitation/emission maxima between 613 and 629 nm, however when unbound, the dye is basically non-fluorescent. The dye is also non-cytotoxic and can be used to continuously check on the viability of cell cultures.
