SpecificityThe reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunits of the IgE molecule which represents strict isotype (class) specificity. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against appropriate concentrations of IgE, a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of full identity with the precipitin line obtained with the used immunogen. It does not react with rat IgG, including all subclasses, 19A, IgM and IgGlFab or any non-Ig protein in rat serum.
-
PurityHyperimmune antisera with strong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation by salt-precipitation and purification of the IgG fraction by DEAE-chromatography.
-
FormPurified hyperimmune goat IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2).
-
Storage_stabilityHandling:The lyophilized IgG fraction is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4 degree C; prolonged storage at or below -20 degree C. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water, spun down to remove insoluble particles, divided into small aliquots, frozen and stored at or below -20 degree C . Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at 4 degree C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the product. Packing: Vial with 10 mg lyophilized IgG fraction. Storage/Shelf life: Lyophilized at +4 degree C/at least 10 years reconstituted at or below -20 degree C/3-5 years reconstituted at +4 degree C/7 days
-
Tested_applicationIndirect Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA), Dot Blot (DB), Immunoblotting (IB)
-
DescriptionThis antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

PropertiesImmunoglobulin E (IgE) kappa or Fc specific antibody is a kind of antibody (or immunoglobulin (Ig) "isotype") that has only been found in mammals. IgE is synthesized by plasma cells. Monomers of IgE consist of two heavy chains (ε chain) and two light chains, with the ε chain containing 4 Ig-like constant domains (Cε1-Cε4). IgEs play a role in allergy and response to parasite infection. High levels of IgEs caused by parasites can lower the allergic reaction of patients to allergens common present in the human environment. As such the parasite history of an allergic patient needs to be taken in consideration as a positive factor.
-
AboutRats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.

HostGoat, The goat polyclonal antibodies are directed against human genes or rabbit or mouse IgGs (H +L) chain primary antibodies and conjugated for detection. It are very good secondary antibodies that are affinity purified and have a good affinity themselves too. Often KLH is coupled to the antigen so anti KLH can be present in the vial.
