The ACTH (1-39) ( ) (POMC, Adrenocorticotropin, beta Lipotropin, alpha (beta) Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone, CLIP, Corticotropin-lipotropin , LPH, MSH, NPP, POC, Pro-opiomelanocortin)[ACTH] is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood. Guinea pig ELISA kits for plasma and sera samples are used to study human genes through the guinea pig model (Cavia porcellus), also called the cavy rodent model.
