Background InformationmCherry is the second generation monomeric red fluorescent protein that have improved brightness and photostability. The recombinant mCherry is expressed and purified from transformed E. coli using a method that ensures high purity and maximal fluorescence intensity. The protein is a 28.8 kDa monomer with 256 amino acids, pI: 6.23. Ex.= 587 nm (540-590 nm); Em.= 610 nm (550-650 nm). The protein is engineered with 6xHis-tag on the N-terminus, which can be used for detection with anti-His-Tag antibody (BioVision Cat # 3998-100) or protein purification/removal by using Ni++ beads.

Additional descriptionFluorescent microspheres, beads and particles applications including blood flow determination, tracing, fluorimetry, in vivo imaging and calibration of imaging and flow cytometry instruments. Because our fluorescent dyes are incorporated in the bead and not just on the surface, they are relatively immune to photo bleaching and other environmental factors. Spheres are in difference sizes and fluorescences, high intensity, FITC, GFP, red, green, yellow, light yellow, sky blue, blue, orange, deep-red, Nile-red, purple, mcherry. The diameter of the spheres is usually higher than 50nm and in the micrometer um range.
