Chemoattractant for monocytes and basophils
NCBI Gene ID #.
NCBI Gene Symbol
Activity (Specifications/test method)
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 10-100 ng/ml.
Physical form description
Sterile filtered and then lyophilized with no additives. The protein may appear as a haze or film which is difficult to see at the bottom of the vial.
Reconstitute in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other buffered solutions and stored at 4°C for 1 week or –20°C for future use.
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.
For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
