IL-17, Interleukin 17, Cytokine ML-1, Interleukin-24
A proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells
Purity by SDS-PAGE
Physical form description
Lyophilized from a concentrated solution (1 mg/ml) containing 20 mM phosphate buffer (ph 7.4).
The lyophilized IL-17F can be reconstituted in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 µg/µl. It is recommended that further dilutions be made into buffer containing carrier protein or medium containing serum.
IL-17Fis a member of the IL-17 family of structurally-related cytokines. The six known members of this family, IL-17A through IL-17F, are secreted as homodimers. IL-17F stimulates proliferation and activation of T-cells and PBMCs. IL-17F also regulates cartilage matrix turnover and inhibits angiogenesis. Recombinant human IL-17F is a 30.1 kDa consisting of two 134 amino acid polypeptide chains.

For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
