    HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS 1/2 gD Glycoprotein D (gD) is a viral envelope component also expressed in the membranes of HSV infected cells, and is known to be a principle immunogen of infected humans and a major target for the neutralisation of infecting viruses. Clone B007 (LP2) recognises glycoprotein D of HSV-1 and HSV-2. This antibody strongly neutralizes virus in the presence or absence of Complement.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
