- Background of the antigenalpha2C-adrenergic receptors (alpha2C-AR) regulate neurotransmitter release from sympathetic nerves in the heart, and from adrenergic neurons in the central nervous system. alpha2C-AR can influence Parkinson’s disease, panic disorders, and Huntington disease (HD) progression. A genetic variant in the alpha2C-AR coding region (Del322-325) renders the receptor partially uncoupled from Gi, and is a contributing risk factor for heart failure. alpha2C-AR transcripts are present in rat muscle, heart, pancreas, and kidney.
- PurificationPurified by Protein A.
- Storage conditionsStore this antibody in aqueous buffered solution containing 1% BSA, 50% glycerol and 0.09% sodium azide. Keep refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees Celcius for up to one year.
