Human ENA-78 (CXCL5) Recombinant
Background:
Epithelial neutrophil- activating protein 78 (ENA-78) is a member of the CXC chemokines and acts as a potent chemoattractant and activator of neutrophil function. On stimulationin vitro, ENA-78 is highly expressed in many cell types. ENA-78 protein levels are strongly elevated in synovial fluid and blood of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. By in situ hybridization and immunofluorescence staining, ENA-78 has been recognized as a major CXC chemokine expressed in epithelial cells of the intestinal mucosa of patients with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and acute appendicitis.Description:
Recombinant CXCL5 is a disulfide-linked monomeric protein consisting of 75 amino acid residues and migrates as an approximately 8 kDa protein under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE. Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human ENA-78 (CXCL5) mature chain was expressed inE. coli.UniProt:
P42830Endotoxin:
< 0.1 ng/µg (1 EU/µg), using the LAL gel clot method.Purity:
≥ 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLCFormat:
Lyophilized proteinReconstitution:
Reconstitute at 0.1-1.0 mg/ml in distilled water. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. To maximize product collection from vial surface, vortex briefly and then spin down to recollect the liquid.Shipping Conditions:
Gel Packs or Dry IceStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt when stored at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, store in working aliquots at +4°C for up to one month, or at -20°C for up to six months, in the presence of a carrier protein. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Calculated Molecular Weight:
8 kDaFormulation:
Lyophilized from 0.2 µm filtered 20 mM phosphate buffer, 100 mM NaCl solution, pH 7.5.
