Human VEGF-D Recombinant Protein

  • Background:

VEGF proteins stimulate vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. They are part of the system that restores the oxygen supply to tissues when blood circulation is inadequate. The normal function of VEGF proteins is to create new blood vessels during embryonic development, new blood vessels after injury, muscle following exercise, and new vessels (collateral circulation) to bypass blocked vessels. The VEGF family has six members, including VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, and Placental Growth Factor (PGF) .The interactions VEGF-D and VEGFR-3 (predominantly expressed in lymphatic vessels) plays a key role in restructuring lymphatic channel and, hence, able to alter its functions related to fluid and cell transport along the conduits. VEGF-D has been established to be over-expressed in both tumor tissues and patients' serum samples in several types of human cancer. In addition, VEGF-D expression has been implicated with increased incidence of regional lymph node metastasis.
  • Description:

The Human VEGF-D yeast-derived recombinant protein is not tagged and is naturally endotoxin-free. The purity is greater than 98% as visualized by SDS-PAGE analysis. Human VEGF-D applications are for cell culture, ELISA standard, and Western Blot Control. The Human VEGF-D yeast-derived recombinant protein can be purchased in multiple sizes. Human VEGF-D Specifications: (Molecular Weight: 13.1 kDa) (Amino Acid Sequence: FAATFYDIET LKVIDEEWQR TQCSPRETCV EVASELGKST NTFFKPPCVN VFRCGGCCNE ESLICMNTST SYISKQLFEI SVPLTSVPEL VPVKVANHTG CKCLPTAPRH PYSIIRR (117) ) (Gene ID: 2277) .
