Ovine TNF alpha Polyclonal Antibody
Background:
TNF alpha is a member of the TNF Superfamily. It is produced chiefly by activated macrophages, but it is produced also by a broad variety of cell types including lymphoid cells, mast cells, endothelial cells, cardiac myocytes, adipose tissue, fibroblasts, and neuronal tissue. The primary role of TNF alpha is in the regulation of immune cells. TNF alpha, being an endogenous pyrogen, is able to induce fever, to induce apoptotic cell death, to induce sepsis (through IL-1 & IL-6 production), to induce cachexia, induce inflammation, and to inhibit tumorigenesis and viral replication.Description:
The Ovine TNF alpha polyclonal antibody is unlabeled and has been qualified for use in ELISA and Western blot applications. It is the capture antibody in the Kingfisher Ovine TNF alpha ELISA. The Ovine TNF alpha antibody was produced in rabbits and is antigen-affinity purified. The reactivity by species is: (Atlantic Salmon TNF-alpha - None) (Bovine TNF-alpha - None) (Canine TNF-alpha - None) (Caprine TNF-alpha - Strong) (Cynomolgus Monkey TNF-alpha - None) (Dolphin TNF-alpha - None) (Equine TNF-alpha - None) (Feline TNF-alpha - None) (Guinea Pig TNF-alpha - None) (Human TNF-alpha - None) (Mouse TNF-alpha - None) (Ovine TNF-alpha - Strong) (Rabbit TNF-alpha - None) (Swine TNF-alpha - None) (Zebrafish TNF-alpha - None) .
