Anti-Synaptotagmin 1/SYT1 Antibody Picoband® (Biotine Conjugate)

  • Background:

Synaptotagmin-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SYT1 gene. The synaptotagmins are integral membrane proteins of synaptic vesicles thought to serve as Ca (2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis. Calcium binding to synaptotagmin-1 participates in triggering neurotransmitter release at the synapse.
  • Description:

Boster Bio Anti-Synaptotagmin 1/SYT1 Antibody Picoband® catalog # A02314-1. Tested in Flow Cytometry, IHC, ICC, WB applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat. The brand Picoband indicates this is a premium antibody that guarantees superior quality, high affinity, and strong signals with minimal background in Western blot applications. Only our best-performing antibodies are designated as Picoband, ensuring unmatched performance.

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
  • Function:

May have a regulatory role in the membrane interactions during trafficking of synaptic vesicles at the active zone of the synapse. It binds acidic phospholipids with a specificity that requires the presence of both an acidic head group and a diacyl backbone. A Ca (2+)-dependent interaction between synaptotagmin and putative receptors for activated protein kinase C has also been reported. It can bind to at least three additional proteins in a Ca (2+)-independent manner; these are neurexins, syntaxin and AP2. Plays a role in dendrite formation by melanocytes (PubMed:23999003).
  • Storage Conditions:

Store at -20℃ for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4℃ for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20℃ for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
