Description
Tryptone Type-II Certified (Casitose, TypeII, Certified) is a culture media product of animal origin, serves a growth factor and a source of energy for microrganisms in culture media, used also in the production of antibiotics, toxins and enzymes. It is a refined component enzymatically hydrolysed from milk protein.

Cream to light yellow homogenous free flowing powder, having characteristic but not putrescent odour.

Freely soluble in distilled water, insoluble in alcohol and ether.

1% w/v aqueous solution remains clear without haziness after autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121ºC) for 15 minutes
