Light yellow to brown,may have green ting homogeneous free flowing, hygroscopic powder, having characteristic sharp odour but not putrescent.
Solubility

Freely soluble in distilled or deionized water or alcohol. Insoluble in ether.
Clarity

The solution is medium amber coloured, clear to very slightly opalescent.odour but not putrescent.
