DescriptionLinker for activation of T cells is a protein which in humans is encoded by the LAT gene. This gene is mapped to 16p11.2. The protein encoded by this gene is phosphorylated by ZAP-70/Syk protein tyrosine kinases following activation of the T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) signal transduction pathway. This transmembrane protein localizes to lipid rafts and acts as a docking site for SH2 domain-containing proteins. Upon phosphorylation, this protein recruits multiple adaptor proteins and downstream signaling molecules into multimolecular signaling complexes located near the site of TCR engagement.

ImmunogenAn amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Linker for activation of T cells (QEAEEVEEEGAPDYENLQELN) was used as the immunogen for this LAT antibody.

StorageAfter reconstitution, the LAT antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
