DescriptionRB1/Retinoblastoma is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. This protein also stabilizes constitutive heterochromatin to maintain the overall chromatin structure. The active, hypophosphorylated form of the protein binds transcription factor E2F1.
-
ImmunogenA portion of amino acids 858-886 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this Retinoblastoma antibody.
-
StorageAliquot the Retinoblastoma antibody and store frozen at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized.
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
