Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats. Toxicologic studies can be done on in vivo on animal models, on liver slices, on hepatocytes or on S fractions. CYP P450 cytochromes subfamilies can be induced by different substances. Measurements of induced cytochrome P450 family 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 subfamily A, B, C member 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 pseudogene can be supplied by ABM Cell culture.
