This peptide is the immunogen used to make Cat # X2758P. _x000B__x000B_Acts as a transcriptional regulator. Involved in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. Activates transcription by binding to the E box (5'-CANNTG-3'). Associates with chromatin to enhancer regulatory elements in genes encoding key transcriptional regulators of neurogenesis. Efficient DNA binding requires dimerization with another bHLH protein. Expression restricted to the embryonic nervous system.

Precautions_x000B_1. Since the WST-8 assay is based on the dehydrogenase activity detection in viable cells, conditions or_x000B_chemicals that affect dehydrogenase activity in viable cells may cause discrepancy between the actual_x000B_viable cell number and the cell number determined using the WST-8 assay._x000B_2. WST-8 may react with reducing agents to generate WST-8 formazan. Please check the background_x000B_O.D. if reducing agents are used in cytotoxicity assays or cell proliferation assays._x000B_3. Be careful not to introduce bubbles to the wells, since they interfere with the O.D. reading._x000B_4. Phenol red containing culture media can be used with this kit for cell viability assays._x000B_5. Membrane filtration is recommended for the sterilization of the WST-8 solution, if necessary._x000B_6. The incubation time varies by the type and number of cells in a well. Generally, leukocytes give weak_x000B_coloration, thus a long incubation time (up to 4 hours) or a large number of cells (~105cells/well) may_x000B_be necessary._x000B_7. Since the cytotoxicity of this kit is very low, further color development is possible after reading the_x000B_absorbance._x000B_8. Another reagent for cell proliferation assay such as neutral red or crystal violet can be used after the_x000B_WST-8 assay._x000B_9. Measure and subtract the O.D. at 600 nm or higher from that of sample if there is a high turbidity in_x000B_the cell suspension.

Description
