Description
Mycobacteria decolourizer is a decolourizing solution reported to be used in the fluorescent staining of mycobacteria.
-
-
Application
For microbiological / pathological laboratories, hospitals, research settings and educational institutes. These stains augment tissue morphology, demonstrate important cellular components, aid in the evaluation of diseases, and identifies pathogenic organisms.
-
Classification
Mycobacterial Stains

Microscopic Examination
Fluorescent staining is carried out using acid alcohol as an intermediate step for decolourization and staining is observed under fluorescence microscope. Slides were screened under high power (400 X) and verified under oil immersion lens.
-
Results
Acid fast bacilli are observed as luminous yellow rods in dark field.
