  • Long description
The p73 exhibits sequence homology to the p53's transcriptional activation, DNA binding, and oligomerization domains. However, adenovirus E1B 55K, simian virus 40 T, and human papillomavirus E6 do not physically interact with p73 indicating that the functions of these two proteins may differ under physiological conditions. This antibody does not cross-react with p53 or p53-related p51/Ket protein. p73 is expressed in either a full-length form ( ) (MW ~80kDa) or a shorter ( ) (MW ~70kDa) mRNA variant, with exon 13 spliced out. This antibody binds to both p73 and p73 in immunoprecipitation and Western Blot assays. Transient overexpression of p73 in cells can induce apoptosis and p21, a cellular p53 target gene primarily responsible for p53-dependent cell cycle arrest.

  • Description
The Mouse anti p73 alpha/beta is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood. This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
  • Test
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
