Species reactivityN/A; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
-
Specificity and cross reactivityHIV-1 p24 Specific for HIV1 p24. Does not cross-react with other HIV polypeptides; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
-
Purification methodProtein A chromatography. Conjugated with high purity isomer 1 of fluorescein isothiocyanate. Care is taken to ensure complete removal of any free fluorescein from the final product.
-
Form AppearanceFITC, Liquid
-
Concentration100ug/ml (OD280nm, E^0.1% = 1.3)
-
Storage and shippingKeep the antibody after aliquoting at -20 degrees Celsius. Cycles of freezing and defrosting may denaturate the polypeptide chains of the antibodies, thus reducing their activity. It is recommended to minimize such cycles as much as possible.
-
Tested applicationsEIA/ELISA, Immunofluorescence Assay, Immunohistochemistry - Formalin, Western Blot
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

GeneThe human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a lentivirus (a subgroup of retrovirus) that causes HIV infection and over time acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS). AIDS is a condition in humans in which progressive failure of the immune system allows life-threatening opportunistic infections and cancers to thrive. Without treatment, average survival time after infection with HIV is estimated to be 9 to 11 years, depending on the HIV subtype. Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, vaginal fluid, pre-ejaculate, or breast milk. Within these bodily fluids, HIV is present as both free virus particles and virus within infected immune cells. recombinant HIV 1 and 2 gag gene proteins p24, p17, p55 immunodominant epitopes and envelope glycoproteins, gp120 are used for production of diagnostic detection antibodies.
