  • Species reactivity
Feline, Ferret; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
  • Specificity and cross reactivity
Recognizes feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV) type 1 and 2. Specific for the nucleocapsid. Shown to react with canine coronavirus (CCV), porcine coronavirus transmissable gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) and ferret coronavirus. Some reactivity has been observed against bovine coronavirus (BCV). Exhibits negative reactivity against feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, feline calcivirus, feline Herpes virus, canine adenovirus (type 2), canine distemper virus, canine parvovirus and canine parainfluenza virus.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
  • Purification method
Affinity Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.

  • Technique
Antibody, Feline, antibodies against human proteins, antibodies for, felines
  • Species
Sometimes til 5% of an area felines have specific IgGs for the feline retroviral feLV infecting Felidae. Also distemper and leukemia virusses apear in cats and have their specific IgG antibodies that are very stable. All cats used for producing immunoglobulins are screened and tested virus negative. Cat seras have usually higher IgG tirters than dog serum. Feline range = 10 to 20 mg/ml IgGs.
