  • Background Information
FGF-2 is a basic heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. The recombinant rat FGF-2 is a single, non-glycosylated chain containing 145 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 16.3 kDa.

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.
  • Usage
For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
  • Additional description
Basic proteins pH>7 are often produced recombinant and shouldn’t be precipitated by formic acid buffer.
  • About
Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
