Description
Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of recombinant proteins using western blotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining techniques. The eight amino acid DYKDDDDK peptide is an established and multi-functional epitope tag and can be expressed and detected with a recombinant protein as an amino-terminal or carboxy-terminal fusion.

Storage
Aliquot the FLAG antibody and store frozen at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized.

Properties
