DescriptionCoagulation Factor VIII (FVIII) is an essential blood-clotting protein. By in situ hybridization, Tantravahi et al.(1986) concluded that the F8 gene is located in the proximal part of chromosome Xq28 with probes DX13 and St14 distally located. The F8 gene encodes coagulation Factor VIII, a large plasma glycoprotein that functions in the blood coagulation cascade as a cofactor for the F9a-dependent activation of F10. Factor VIII is activated proteolytically by a variety of coagulation enzymes, including thrombin(F2). It is tightly associated in the blood with VWF, which serves as a protective carrier protein for Factor VIII (Toole et al., 1984; Hoyer, 1994).
-
ImmunogenAn amino acid sequence from the middle region of human F8 (APVLQDFRSLNDSTN) was used as the immunogen for this Factor VIII antibody.
-
StorageAfter reconstitution, the Factor VIII antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

Additional descriptionAplha, transcription related growth factors and stimulating factors or repressing nuclear factors are complex subunits of proteins involved in cell differentiation. Complex subunit associated factors are involved in hybridoma growth, Eosinohils, eritroid proliferation and derived from promotor binding stimulating subunits on the DNA binding complex. NFKB 105 subunit for example is a polypetide gene enhancer of genes in B cells.
