  • Description
HSP90 proteins are highly conserved molecular chaperones that have key roles in signal transduction, protein folding, protein degradation, and morphologic evolution. HSP90 proteins normally associate with other cochaperones and play important roles in folding newly synthesized proteins or stabilizing and refolding denatured proteins after stress. TRAP1 is a mitochondrial HSP90 protein. Other HSP90 proteins are found in cytosol (HSP90AA1) and endoplasmic reticulum (HSP90B1).
  • Immunogen
A portion of amino acids 542-570 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this TRAP-1 antibody.
  • Storage
Aliquot the TRAP-1 antibody and store frozen at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized.
  • Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
