DescriptionCarbonic anhydrase III (CA3) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CA3 gene. It is a member of a multigene family (at least six separate genes are known) that encode carbonic anhydrase isozymes. The gene spans 10.3 kb and contains seven exons and six introns. The protein is found in high concentration in muscle. It is used in conjunction with creatine kinase detection of the carrier state for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
-
ImmunogenAn amino acid sequence from the N-terminus of human Carbonic Anhydrase III (AKEWGYASHNGPDHWHELF) was used as the immunogen for this Carbonic Anhydrase III antibody.
-
StorageAfter reconstitution, the Carbonic Anhydrase III antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
