  • Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens), Mouse (Mus musculus), Rat (Rattus norvegicus); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
  • Specificity and cross reactivity
Detects spectrin from erythrocytes, brain and muscle cells. This antibody has been shown to specifically detect the two known alternatively spliced forms of spectrin, beta-1 epsilon-1, present in erythrocytes, and beta-1 epsilon-2, present in nerve and striated muscle cells. It does not crossreact with alpha-2 spectrin or either of the fodrin subunits. Species Crossreactivity: Crossreacts with Human, Rat and Mouse. Not yet tested in other species.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
