• Specificity and cross reactivity
  Recognizes human C5b-9 complexes via activated C5, especially in different forms of glomerulonephritis. Does not react with native C5 (See C7850-23). Normal fresh and activated serum subjected to SDS-PAGE Western Blot (nonreduced), visualizes reactivity with the SDS-denatured C5 (200kD) abd C5b (185kD), the latter together with a faint cleavage product (60kD) only after activation.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
