c-KIT [pY703] Pab hu, (ms, rt) (Invitrogen); Unconjugated Polyclonal antibody specific to Human (Mouse, Rat) c-Kit [pY703]. This antibody is validated for use in Western Blot. Anti-c-Kit [pY703] recognizes the expressed product of the KIT gene._x000B__x000B_c-Kit, also known as CD117 and stem cell factor receptor, is a 145 kDa transmembrane tyrosine kinase encoded by the c-Kit proto-oncogene. c-Kit acts to regulate a variety of biological responses including cell proliferation, apoptosis, chemotaxis and adhesion. Ligand binding to the extracellular domain leads to autophosphorylation on several tyrosine residues within the cytoplasmic domain, and activation. c-Kit mutations correlate with tumor growth and progression in a variety of cancers including mast cell disease, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, acute myeloid leukemia, Ewing sarcoma, and lung cancer. Phosphorylation at tyrosine 703 of c-Kit allows binding of Grb2 and activation of the Ras Raf ERK1&2 signaling pathway.

Hybridoma produced by the fusion of splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with Synthetic peptide conjugated to ovalbumin derived from the C-terminus of CYP2A6 and mouse myeloma Ag8563 cells. Antigen identical in CYP2A6, 2A7 and 2A13.

Other description
Provided as solution in phosphate buffered saline with 0.08% sodium azide. Purified from rabbit serum by sequential epitope-specific chromatography. The antibody has been negatively preadsorbed using a non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the site of phosphorylation to remove antibody that is reactive with non-phosphorylated c-Kit. The final product is generated by affinity chromatography using a c-Kit-derived peptide that is phosphorylated at tyrosine 703.

Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Anti-human, anti mouse antibodies to highly immunogenic selected peptide sequences are" monoclonal like" since the epitope to which they are directed is less than 35 amino acids long.
