Long descriptionJanus Activating Kinase 2 (JAK2) is a 130 kDa tyrosine kinase involved in cytoplasmic signal transduction. Ligand binding to a variety of cell surface receptors (e.g., cytokine, growth factor, GPCRs) leads to an association of those receptors with JAK proteins, which are then activated via phosphorylation on tyrosines 1007 and 1008 in the kinase activation loop. Activated JAK proteins phosphorylate and activate STAT (signal transducers and activators of transcription) proteins, which then dimerize and translocate to the nucleus. Once in the nucleus, STAT proteins bind to DNA and modify the transcription of various genes, which can lead to various responses such as cell proliferation, cell survival and differentiation.

Antibody s suited forInhibition of chemotaxis, ELISA, immunostaining of cryostat sections and cytospins, immunoprecipitation of protein, and Western blotting. Further dilutions should be made in medium or buffered solution with carrier protein, such as PBS with 0.1-1.0% BSA. The addition of a preservative, such as 0.1% sodium azide, is also recommended for long term storage.

TestMouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
