  • Description
Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase is a mixture of Taq DNA Polymerase and an aptamer-based inhibitor. it can be antibody based or chemical blocked. The inhibitor binds reversibly to the enzyme, inhibiting polymerase activity at temperatures below 45°C, but releases the enzyme during normal cycling conditions, allowing reactions to be set up at room temperature. This aptamer-based hot start does not require a separate high temperature incubation step to activate the enzyme. Taq DNA polymerase possesses a 5´→3´ polymerase activity.
  • Group
    PCR, polymerase chain reaction
  • About
TAQ or Pfu or Pfx or other enzymes are used for polycmerase chain reaction and have different specificity. The mores specific the lower the yield.
  • Properties
Thermocyclers can be callibrated for identical ramping curves to obtain a more accurate PCR.
  • Gene target
  • Short name
    DNA Polymerase (PCR)
  • Technique
dna, The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplifies the DNA in your sample. For real time PCR the cycle threshold Ct values willneed to be set before the experiment. Than the RT-PCR starts from RNA and real time PCR quantitates the cDNA so the RNA in the sample on given time of the experiment.
  • Alternative name
