  Specifically binds to MMP19 and does not crossreact with the other MMP family members (MMP1, MMP2, MMP3, MMP9, etc). The zymogen of MMP19 is found at 58kD and is activated to a 55kD form, a 45-47kD form, and then to a 28kD final active form. Depending on the activation method, MMP19 can be seen as a cascade of active forms. Recognizes the pro-form and active forms of MMP19. By immunoblotting against the reduced protein, the antibody reacts with bands at 58kD (zymogen), 45kD (active), and a series of further cleaved active forms. The antibody also recognizes nonreduced MMP19. Species Crossreactivity: Crossreacts with Human.
