Test principle
This EIA kit uses the Competitive-EIA principle. The micro EIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Rat CRH. During the reaction, Rat CRH in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of Rat CRH on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to Rat CRH. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) are added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of Rat CRH in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Description
This ELISA test kit or EIA Enzyme immuno assay is an enzyme linked immuno assay supplied as coated 96 well plates with antigen or antibody and needs to be stored at +4°C. Hormone releasing factors and releasing hormones are signaling molecules produced by glands in multicellular organisms. The glands that secrete Luteinizing hormones LHRG and LH, FSH comprise the endocrine signaling system. The term growth hormone releasing hormone GHRH is sometimes extended to include chemicals produced by cells that affect the same cell (autocrine or intracrine signaling) or nearby cells (paracrine signaling). Human recombinant LHRG and GHRH are produced in E. coli or in yeast cells.

About
Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.

Scope note:
Immunologic techniques based on the use of: (1) enzyme-antibody conjugates; (2) enzyme-antigen conjugates; (3) antienzyme antibody followed by its homologous enzyme; or (4) enzyme-antienzyme complexes. These are used histologically for visualizing or labeling tissue specimens.
