  • Short Description
Our StemTAG™ 96-Well Stem Cell Colony Formation Assay provides a high-throughput method to quantify ES cells in just 7-10 days, and no manual cell counting is required. Once colonies are formed, they may be analyzed in three different ways: 1. Lyse cells, then quantify in a fluorescence plate reader using dye included in the kit; 2. Lyse cells, then quantify alkaline phosphatase activity using reagents provided; or 3. Recover colonies from matrix for further culture or analysis.
  • Product feature 1
Quantify ES cells using fluorescent dye or measure alkaline phosphatase activity (reagents included for both methods)
  • Product feature 2
Stem cells may be recovered for further downstream analysis
  • Product feature 3
Results in 7-10 days, not 3 weeks
  • Test
Cell Biolabs supplies other types of Assays as 1. Stem cell factors and stem cell growth factors will produce stem cells or be part of a transdifferentiation process to produce other cells. A cell can transdifferentiate by going back to the naive stem cell stadium or directly into the other cell, helped by the stem cell and transdifferentiationf actors. Stem cell growth factors or stem cell factors are mostly used to produce iPSCs or induced pluripotent stem cells by Jamaka or Thomson factors by using for example 5 Lenti-III-CMV viruses, expressing the Yamanaka iPSC factor set (Oct4, Sox2, Nanog and Lin28) + GFP positive control. Trans differentiation will omit the stem cell stadium but stem cell factors sill play an important role in trans differentiation strategies.
  • Description
For cells, cell lines and tissues in culture till half confluency. Colonies can be formed by stimulating factors or recombinant GM-CSF and CSFs activity expressed in Units compared to a standard.
