  • Description
A cocktail of six protease inhibitors with broad specificity for the inhibition of aspartic, serine, cysteine, aminopeptidases and metalloproteases. This cocktail is recommended for use with plant cell extracts. Each vial of the cocktail has the six inhibitors reconstituted in 1 ml DMSO (Note: 1 ml is recommended for the inhibition of proteases present in 30 g of various plant tissues). Each vial contains 200 mM of (Cat. No. AEBSF, HCl (Cat. No. 1644), 10 mM of Bestatin (Cat. No. 1733), 3 m of E-64 (Cat. No. 1739), 2 mM of Leupeptin hemisulfate (Cat. No. 1648), 500 mM of 1,10-Phenanthroline and 2 mM of Pepstatin A (Cat. No. 1732). Provided with a directional insert.

  • Additional description
Tissue, pathway, proteinase, peptidase, protease ,acrosin, lipoprotein, activator, caspase, trypsin, papain, esterase inhibitors are proteins or receptor ligands or receptor antagonists that bind to an enzyme receptor and decreases its activity. Since blocking an enzyme's activity can kill a pathogen or correct a metabolic imbalance, many drugs are enzyme inhibitors. Not all receptor antagonist that bind to enzymes are inhibitors; enzyme activator ligands or agonists bind to enzymes and increase their enzymatic activity, while enzyme substrates bind and are converted to products in the normal catalytic cycle of the enzyme.
