Background informationBPTF is a 2,907 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene BPTF. BPTF belongs to the PBTF family and contains one bromodomain, one DDT domain and two PHD-type zinc fingers. BPTF acts as a histone-binding component of NURF (nucleosome-remodeling factor). The NURF complex, which consists of SMARCA1, BPTF, RbAp46 and RbAp48, acts to catalyze ATP-dependent nucleosome sliding and facilitates transcription of chromatin. It specifically recognizes histone H3 tails trimethylated on 'Lys-4' (H3-K4Me3), which mark transcription start sites of virtually all active genes. BPTF may also help regulate transcription through direct binding to DNA or transcription factors.

AdvisoryAvoid freeze/thaw cycles as they may denaturate the polypeptide chains of the antibody, thus reducing its reactivity, specificity and sensitivity. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

PropertiesFor facs or microscopy Alexa 1 conjugate. Alexa Fluor 633 is a practical alternative to APC as well as Cy5. Bioss Polyclonal Antibodies made this Alexa Fluor 633 conjugate that can be used in multi-color flow cytometry with instruments equipped with a second red laser or red diode. It is detected in the FL4 detector of the core's upgraded 2-laser FACScans. Like other Alexa Fluor dyes, the Anti-BPTF/FALZ ALEXA FLUOR® 647 exhibits uncommon photo stability, making it an ideal choice for fluorescent microscopy.

-
DescriptionThis antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.

GroupPolyclonals and antibodies
-
AboutPolyclonals can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues. The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera.

TechniquePolyclonal, anti-, anti, antibody to, antibodies, Polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) are mostly rabbit or goat antibodies that are secreted by different B cells, whereas monoclonal antibodies come from a single N cell lineage. Pabs are a collection of immunoglobulin molecules that react against a specific antigen, each identifying a different epitope.
