Specificity and cross reactivityIL-10 This item is specific for human IL-10 (Interleukin-10), an 18.5kDa immunosuppressive cytokine originally known as cytokine synthesis inhibiting factor (CSIF), which specifically regulates immune-mediated inflammation and shares high sequence homology with murine IL-10 and the viral protein BCRF1. _x000D__x000D_IL-10, produced by macrophages, mast cells, T cells, activated B cells and keratinocytes, inhibits the secretion of a variety of pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNFalpha, IL-1, IL-2, IL-3 and IL-8 and is chemotactic for CD8+ T cells. The suppressive ability of IL-10 has become a focus area for the treatment of Crohn's disease, but with conflicting results.

Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.
