N/A; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
  • Specificity and cross reactivity
Reacts with Synthetic NS-4a Protein (1689a.a.-1735a.a) and Recombinant Chimeric HCV Polyprotein (60kD). No cross reaction was seen with Recombinant CPC*+EPM** (core) (1a.a.-142a.a.), Synthetic CPC* (1a.a. -61a.a.), Recombinant NS-3 Protein (1252a.a. -1477a.a.) or Synthetic NS-3 Protein (1378a.a. -1458a.a.).; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.

  • Gene
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS3, NS4, NS genotypes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, are small (55–65 nm in size), enveloped, positive-sense single-stranded RNA viruses. Hepatitis C virus is the cause of hepatitis C and some cancers such as Liver Cancer (Hepatocellular carcinoma abbreviated HCC) and lymphomas in humans. HCV Core antigens or envelope proteins are used for immunization to obtain diagnostic antibodies.
  • Description
Hepatitis a, b, c, d, e recombinant surface viral antigens to genotype 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are used for antibody production to make diagnostic poly or monoclonal antibodies. Hepatitis is a disease of the liver characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in the tissue of the organ. Hepatitis may occur without symptoms, but can lead to jaundice (a yellow discoloration of the skin, mucous membranes, and conjunctiva of the eyes), poor appetite, and fatigue. Depending on the cause, hepatitis can manifest either as an acute or as a chronic disease.
