• Specificity and cross reactivity
  CA125 The CA-125 antigen is present on a mucin-like glycoprotein of >200kD. This antibody reacts with an antigen common to most non-mucinous epithelial ovarian carcinomas. Staining is positive in serous and endometrioid adenocarcinomas, Krukenberg's tumour and uterine myoma. Mucinous tumours and normal ovarian epithelium are negative. CA125 is detectable on the apical surface of normal endometrium and endocervix.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
