Application And UsagesWestern blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. Other applications have not been tested. The antibody recognizes ~65 kDa band in samples from human, mouse and rat origins. A cleavage fragment (~45 kDa) can also be detected in apoptotic samples. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.

DescriptionBIN-1 is a tumor suppressor protein that was identified in a genetic screen for proteins that interact with the MCY oncoprotein. BIN-1 inhibits the oncogenic activity of MYC, possibly throμgh activating or facilitating apoptosis. BIN is a short-lived protein with a half-life of about 2 hours.
