VIM-C6 recognizes the human CD15 molecule which allows the differentiation of granulocytes from other blood cells. It is also useful for phenotyping cell subpopulations in myeloic leukemias. CD15, also known as Lewis X, serves as a ligand for selectins under high shear stress conditions. It may also be involved in cell adhesion through a direct carbohydrate-carbohydrate interaction. Properties
