  • Species reactivity
Mouse (Mus musculus); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
  • Specificity and cross reactivity
CD61 This item recognises the murine integrin beta 3 subunit (CD61), a 90kD a type I membrane protein, which is expressed primarily on megakaryocytes, platelets, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes and endothelial cells. CD61 associates with either the alpha IIb integrin (CD41) or the alpha V integrin (CD51) to form the platelet glycoprotein complex IIb/IIIa and the vitronectin receptor (VNR) respectively. The heterodimers formed with CD61 are receptors for a variety of ligands including fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrands factor (vWF), vitronectin and thrombospondin. Clone HM beta 3.1 is reported to partially inhibit the binding of CD61 to fibronectin; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
  • Purification method
    N/A
  • Form Appearance
Low Endotoxin (Purified IgG - liquid)
  • Concentration
    IgG concentration 1.0 mg/ml
  • Storage and shipping
the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius. the antibody should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Repeated freeze - thaw cycles may denature the peptide chains of the antibody and therefore should be maximally avoided. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of dispatch.
  • Tested applications
Immunoprecipitation (IP), Flow Cytometry (FACS), Functional Assay (FA)
  • Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. This is against a protein of mus musculus directed antibody.
  • Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C. Armenian of Syrian hamster monoclonal IgGs are useful antibodies for double staining your IHC samples. Using mabs or monoclonal antibodies has a lot of advantages for Flow cytometry.
  • Test
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.

Scope note: Sensitive method for detection of bacterial endotoxins and endotoxin-like substances that depends on the in vitro gelation of Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL), prepared from the circulating blood (amebocytes) of the horseshoe crab, by the endotoxin or related compound. Used for detection of endotoxin in body fluids and parenteral pharmaceuticals.
