Background InformationHuman Fatty Acid Binding Protein-s exhibit high affinity for small lipophilic ligands. Studies suggest that FABPs are involved in the uptake and metabolism of fatty acids, maintenance of Cellular membrane fatty acids levels, intraCellular trafficking, modulation of specific enzymes of lipid metabolic pathways, as well as in the modulation of cell growth and differentiation. Recombinant human FABP-1 was expressed from E. coli and purified through proprietary method.

-
PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
