Host organismMouse (Mus musculus)
-
Source organismHuman (Homo sapiens)
-
Species reactivityHuman (Homo sapiens); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
-
Specificity and cross reactivityRecognizes the C-terminus of human b-amyloid (aa 1-42 isoform). Does not cross-react with b-amyloid (aa 1-40 isoform).; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
-
Purification methodPurified by subsequent thiophilic adsorption and size exclusion chromatography.
-
Form AppearanceSupplied as a liquid in PBS and 0.09% sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%. Labeled witth Biotin.

Storage and shippingStore the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage, aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. Prior to use, briefly centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before lid. If further dilution(s) are needed, they can be done with the appropriate assay buffer.
-
Tested applicationsELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C. Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. Avidin and Streptavidin bind to the small biotin and are couple to HRP or AP for ELISA. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.
