Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
CAV1 (Caveolin-1 antibody)
The lipid raft-associated protein Caveolin-1 (CAV1) is the major component of the inner surface of caveolae, small ivaginations of the plasma membrane. Caveolin is a transmembrane adaptor molecule that can simultaneously recognize GPI-linked proteins and interact with downstream cytoplasmatic signaling molecules. It is highly expressed on exosomes derived from tumor tissues.
Clonality of antibody:
156-176 aa of Caveolin-1 protein
Concentration of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
0.5 mg/ml in Glycine (0.1 M), NaCl (0.5 M), Tris-HCl (0.1 M) with sodium azide (15mM), pH: 7.4.
Protein A affinity chromatography
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
WB , FACS
WB (1:500), FACS
Shelf time: Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label. in temp.: 4 deg.C (short term), -20 deg.C (long term)
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
Biovision supplies antibodies that are for research of human proteins.
